From its secure, single-site facility in Southern California, the company offers a wide range of products and services that include commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) / Hi-Rel semiconductors, microcircuit components, mil-spec / harsh environment connectors and accessories, as well as built-to-print assembly services.

Military semiconductor, microcircuit, and hybrid electronic components

Forward Components’ critical control and circuit protection units are fully traceable to the manufacturer. Our products include Standard Microcircuit Drawing (SMD) military qualified devices, MIL-PRF-38535 and MIL-PRF-38534, as well as military standard transistors, diodes, and their commercial counterparts.

Forward provides support in the air for the Cobra AH/AH-1J helicopter, the F-4 and T-37 aircraft with a number of semiconductor devices.
Forward has manufactured and sold over 3200 units of power control boxes for the Blue Force Tracker program on board the Stryker tank.
Supplying cables for plastic waste processing on Ticonderoga, Nimitz, Wasp, Tarawa, and Arleigh Burke Class vessels among others.

Built-to-print assembly services for a variety of end platforms

Forward Components has full turn-key in-house assembly capability. We have manufactured thousands of power cables, armoured cables, branched harnesses, and many other custom products for a large variety of end platforms, drawing on over a decade of expertise in box builds, circular connector based cables, thermocouples, and control cables.

Defence and industrial automotive connectors

The company’s offerings primarily focus on military qualified circular and RF connectors, backshells, and accessories. Our connectors are shipped with the qualified manufacturer’s CofC, suitable for critical applications and use in harsh environments. Specifications include MIL-DTL-38999, MIL-DTL-5015, MIL-DTL-22992, and AS85049.

UAV and launch vehicles systems

Forward Components has emerging projects supporting near-Earth orbit satellites, launch vehicles, and UAVs operating above the altitude threshold of manned aircraft. Products offered include radiation hardened and JANS level transistors and diodes, circuit protection devices, as well as specialised cable assemblies.

 Military packaging and labelling

Forward Components is ANSI/ESD S20.20 certified and has completed thousands of contracts with the US Military. We have the in-house expertise to package and label products to exact specifications, including MIL-STD-2073, MIL-PRF-23199, MIL-STD-129, MIL-STD-130, and all RFID requirements.
