The global aerospace, defence and security industry experienced a 3% rise in new job postings related to connectivity in Q3 2022 compared with the previous quarter, according to GlobalData’s Jobs Analytics. This compares to a 3% increase in the previous quarter and a 13% increase versus Q3 2021.

Notably, Database and Network Administrators and Architects jobs accounted for a 16% share of the global aerospace, defence and security industry’s connectivity-related total new job postings in Q3 2022, up 6% over the prior quarter.







	

               
   
Database and Network Administrators and Architects drive connectivity-related hiring activity
Database and Network Administrators and Architects, with a share of 16%, emerged as the top connectivity-related job roles within the aerospace, defence and security industry in Q3 2022, with new job postings rising by 6% quarter-on-quarter. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in second with a share of 11% in Q3 2022, with new job postings drop by 4% over the previous quarter.
The other prominent connectivity roles include Computer and Information Research Scientists with a 6% share in Q3 2022, Electrical and Electronics Engineers with a 5% share of new job postings.

                    
                    				
              
    
Top five companies in aerospace, defence and security industry accounted for 31% of hiring activity
The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q3 2022 were Raytheon Technologies, Trimble Military and Advanced Systems, L3Harris Technologies and Astronics. Together they accounted for a combined share of 31% of all connectivity-related active jobs in the aerospace, defence and security industry.
Raytheon Technologies posted 243 connectivity-related new jobs in Q3 2022, Trimble Military and Advanced Systems 169 jobs, L3Harris Technologies 142 jobs, and Astronics 134 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

                    
                    		
           
    
Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 69% share of total active job postings, Q3 2022
The largest share of connectivity-related new job postings in the aerospace, defence and security industry in Q3 2022 was in the US with 69% followed by India (6%) and France (6%).
